A Book about God and His design of creation
If you have any desire to become more spiritual, to have a more intimate relationship with God, you should read this book. It responds to virtually all questions you may have about God and His design of creating human beings.
An Aid to Teaching
In the Book of Certitude, Bahá’u’lláh states:
What “oppression” is more grievous than that a soul seeking the truth, and wishing to attain unto the knowledge of God, should know not where to go for it and from whom to seek it? (The Kitáb-i-Íqán, p. 31)
In teaching the Faith, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá encourages us to start with “points of agreement.” Perhaps the best way to practice this principle is to start with God. At least 75 percent of U.S. citizens already believe in God, but they need to expand their knowledge. Once they trust our views about God, they are more likely to become receptive to the Glory of God. Further, you will feel more at ease to invite people to learn more about something they have already accepted. If you give them a book about the Bahá’í Faith they may think that you want to convert them. People do not feel the same way about God.
As the seekers read about God, they also encounter brief quotations from Bahá’u’lláh about God and the afterlife, without knowing who Bahá’u’lláh is! The book prepares the seekers to know Him.
Many people, especially the young and educated, either do not believe in God or have questions about God. If they take the time and read The Spiritual Design of Creation, they will have a change of heart. Let us spread the knowledge of God. Lend or give a copy to all the skeptics. True knowledge is the power that leads us to God!
