How to choose a book for a seeker

Choosing an introductory book for a seeker is extremely critical. It should be done with the utmost care. The book we give may provide the only link he will ever have with the Faith. That book may determine his everlasting destiny. It may preserve his spiritual life, which is more significant than his physical life.

First impressions are often enduring. The first book we give to a seeker is that first impression in print. The book must be so powerful and memorable that he will not be able to ignore its message. It should draw him out of his comfort zone. If you have to give one book, let it be one that the reader will not be able to ignore.

If the first impression of the book is positive, it will be hard to hold back the seeker. If it is negative, it will be hard to restart him. The book we choose must be as perfect as is humanly possible. Every page, every paragraph, every sentence, every word must be chosen with the utmost care. One book may alienate a seeker, another may leave him untouched, and still another may totally transform him.

A good introductory book should appeal to both the mind and the heart. It should leave the reader with no excuses. By the time he finishes the book, he should feel that joining the Bahá’í Faith would be the most glorious blessing; and not joining, the greatest loss and punishment.

We are delighted to offer you three sets or four volumes of new introductory books, that according to our research, will make a difference in your teaching:
